All versions of Bluebeam Revu (Standard, CAD, eXtreme) come with unlimited free access to their cloud collaboration platform, Bluebeam Studio. The beauty of Studio is not only that all of the project team can access your documents from the cloud, but they don't even need to own Bluebeam licenses to do so! They can join existing Studio Sessions or Projects using Bluebeam's free PDF viewer and have full markup/collaboration capabilities.
There are two ways of working in Studio; Projects and Sessions. So what's the difference?
Studio Projects is essentially a lightweight document management system. You can upload your project folders and files into cloud storage so that everyone on the project team can have access to these files, and you can maintain a single master set of documents. Users can make changes to these documents, but it will be on a check out/check in basis, similar to SharePoint.
Studio Sessions is Bluebeam's real-time collaboration platform, allowing you to have multiple users marking up the same document at the same time. For example, if you want your plumbing, electrical, and structural consultants to add their notes on your design, rather than sending them all separate copies simply invite them all to a Studio Session. This saves you time by allowing them to collaborate simultaneously, and provides the benefit of all parties seeing what the others are doing.
